The company was started in 1986 as an agency house, marketing the various actuators and eldro thrusters manufactured by M/S. EMG, germany. By 1988, over 15,000 EMG, actuators of models ‘DC’, ‘D’ and ‘DB’ had been supplied to various power projects in india through bhel – trichy, and other valve and damper manufacturers.

In 1988, Antrieb Technik in technical collaboration with M/S. EMG, Germany, started to manufacture the ‘DC’ series of EMG, make electro mechanical actuators at ambattur, in chennai. After complete indegenization of majority components, commercial production started in 1991/92. The technical collaboration covered the complete technical know-how of the ‘DC’ series, comprising of drawings, material specifications, assembly assistance, testing and quality standards. The various models in this series are DC0, DC1, DC2 and DC3.

The torque range covered by these models, ranges from 10 nm till 750 nm for on – off duty application and 10 nm till 360 nm for regulating duty application for different operating speeds. The model, actuator range, speeds, etc are detailed in the product catalogue.
